this guide walks you through connecting your hr partner instance to bindbee before you begin you need full access rights in hr partner the integrations menu is hidden from users without them api access is turned off by default to protect your data, so you will be switching it on as part of this process retrieving your hr partner api key step 1 log in to hr partner as an administrator and go to setup > configure > integrations in the left hand menu step 2 at the top of the integrations screen, tick the checkbox labelled enable api access for external applications this box must be ticked if it is left unchecked, hr partner will reject every request from bindbee even if the key itself is correct step 3 save your settings step 4 your api token is displayed on the same screen copy it every hr partner company is issued one randomly generated api key treat it like a password, since anyone holding it can read your company data, including employee records and attachments step 5 paste the token into the bindbee prompt and submit note rotating the key use the reset api token button on the same screen to generate a new api key any tool using the old token, including bindbee, will stop working until you update the connection using our relink connector feature revoking access entirely unticking enable api access for external applications and saving immediately cuts off all external access to your company data troubleshooting symptom likely cause you cannot find the integrations menu your hr partner user does not have full access rights ask an administrator the connection worked and then stopped the api token was reset in hr partner copy the new token and re authorize in bindbee
