How do I delete a connector?
Updated 5 days ago
Open the connector in the dashboard and click the delete (bin) icon, or call the Delete Connector API. Only Admins can delete Production connectors. Any member of your organization can delete Development connectors.
Deleting a connector removes the data synced through it, its sync history and the Bindbee IDs of its records. Delete only connectors that are abandoned, duplicated, or belong to a customer who has left.
If the connector is broken, relink it instead. A deleted connector can only be reconnected as a new connector, and every record then gets a new Bindbee ID.
Delete from the dashboard
Open Connectors and select the connector.
Click the delete (bin) icon.
If the icon is grayed out, you're signed in as a Member and the connector is in Production. To check your role, click your name in the bottom-left corner and open Account. The Organization Details tab lists your team members and their roles, so you can ask an Admin to delete it.
Delete through the API
Call Delete Connector with the connector's ID, using the API key for the connector's environment:
curl --request DELETE \
--url 'https://api.bindbee.dev/api/hris/v1/connectors/<CONNECTOR_ID>/delete' \
--header 'Authorization: Bearer <BINDBEE_API_KEY>'For ATS or LMS connectors, replace hris in the path.
Deleted a connector by mistake?
Email [email protected] with the connector token or origin ID within 7 days. We can stop the deletion and restore the connector, and you can then resync it. After 7 days the data is permanently removed and we can't recover it.
Data you've already copied
Deleting a connector clears our copy only. Data you've already synced into your own systems stays there until you delete it yourself. To remove only part of a connector's data, such as one field or a group of employees, contact us.
