Add Custom/Calculated Field
this guide explains how to create an integration system and a field override service in workday, populate custom attribute names, and map workday objects to the field override service it's important to note that this guide assumes that custom attributes are already configured and used in the workday environment if not, consult the workday administrator before proceeding also, the terms “custom attributes”, “custom objects”, and “custom fields” are used interchangeably in this guide as this is a custom process that is followed, after completing these steps, you would have to separately reach out to us to get custom fields data set in our unified apis step 1 create an integration system 1\ log into the workday account using a workday administrator account 2\ search for and select the “create integration system” task 3\ enter the following information \ system name choose any name \ comment optionally, add a comment \ template select core connector worker 4\ click ok step 2 create a new field override service 1\ in the newly created integration system, scroll down to the “custom integration services” section and click the + sign 2\ under the column “ integration service”, search for and select “create integration field override service” from the list of services 3\ in the new screen, enter the following data \ name choose any name \ business object worker step 3 populate custom attribute names in the field override service 1\ under the fields section, add a “name” for the custom attributes 2\ the field names entered here will map to the existing workday custom attributes 3\ the field names entered here will appear in the api response when importing custom attributes 4\ if needed, return to this step later to add more fields 5\ click ok 6\ click done on the next screen to save the field override service the “custom integration service” section of the new integration system should now look like this step 4 map workday objects to field override service 1\ the fields created in the previous step will appear in bindbee when the custom attributes are imported however, these fields still need to be mapped to workday custom objects 2\ this mapping tells bindbee which workday custom objects to look for in user profiles when syncing in workday users 3\ to map workday custom objects to the field override service \ search for the integration system created in step 1 by searching workday for the “view integration system” task > checking the circle next to the search result > and clicking ok 4\ in the integration system view, click the action button (the three dot button) next to the name xyz custom attributes > select integration system > configure integration field overrides 5\ in the new window that opens, select xyz custom attribute field override service from the side bar 6\ the fields created during the "populate custom attribute names in the field override service" step will be listed here under the “fields” column map each field to a custom workday object using the “override external field” dropdown menu 7\ after finishing the mapping, click ok and done to save the field mappings once all these steps are completed, provide us with the integration system that was created so we can add the custom fields that have been set
